This jack-in-the-pulpit's (Arisaema triphyllum) leaves seem to be waving farewell. They are indeed dying. However, it is wonderful to see what else is happening. A beautiful seed head is growing and maturing. Once the seeds turn bright red they can be collected cleaned and planted. This is another great native plant. Beautiful in the spring when it blooms and very noticeable in the fall with a bright red seed head. But every year does not produce a female flower that produces the seed head. The nice moist spring and summer have produced and nourished this one along.
