Just visiting, I hope!

I went out the back door and there he was. This garter snake (Thamnophis) was right on the door mat. Garter snakes are easily identified by the three yellowish stripes running the length of the body. He was probably just sunning himself. I don't think he appreciated me staying around and observing him!
